Resources to support Afghanistan refugees 

For the past ten years my mom has worked at Sahar, a non-profit that provides access to education for girls and women in Afghanistan. As this crisis has unforlded I’ve been trying to think of a way to raise awareness and any amount of funds, as they work to now evacuate their staff and their families. With summer coming to a close and as we enter fall I wanted to put the rest of the bedazzled Beeba hoodies online for sale where 100% of the proceeds will go to Sahar's efforts. Here is a note from Sahar's director speaking to what is going on: 

Many of you understand that the situation in Afghanistan is worsening by the day. Sahar is asking for your support to evacuate our staff who are in imminent danger. The courageous and dedicated women and men helped Sahar educate over 250,000 girls since 2001. They put their lives on the line and we owe them a debt of gratitude. Now it is time that we ensure their safety amidst the current crisis. 

We need to urgently raise $425,000 to make this possible. We obtained a $60,000 match for each donation of $2,500 or more—the cost of evacuation for one individual. Please consider a tax-deductible donation through Sahar Education. Your donation is secure, and fully managed by Sahar’s US-based staff.
